None of us likes it when the system crashes in the middle of an important process. Before hitting the computer with your fists, you should consider what the real cause of the crash is. It is not the hardware's fault, so you should take a closer look at your operating system. In time, broken, missing or invalid registry keys may cause serious damage to your system if you let them pile up. Registry Defender will help you locate any issues in the Windows Registry and fix them. It performs a speedy scanning process and it lets you target registry locations and found issues yourself.

To install the application on your computer, you only need to agree to the terms and conditions and click a Next button. Registry Defender's components will be installed in a few moments. It does not take up too much disk space and it does not require powerful hardware.

You can access different pages on the interface, by clicking a series of navigation buttons, on its left side. The registry cleaner itself can be found on the first page. You can target various locations, such as COM/Active X objects, application paths, file types, shared files and many more. It will not take long to scan your targeted items. If the software finds any issues, you may click a button to start fixing them.

Before it starts fixing, the application will back up your registry. You can find the created backup under a different tab, in the same section of the interface and you will be able to restore it or create a new backup. Another navigation tab contains a detailed error report, where you can target and fix individual issues.

Additional tools include a hard drive cleaner, a defragmenter and a startup manager. Obviously, you can use them to erase temporary files, defragment the data on your hard drive and decide which applications are allowed to start automatically when you turn on your computer. When selecting registry items to repair them, you can also tick an option to clean up the hard drive, right after fixing the found errors. You can target different types of temporary files and other junk data on the software's main settings panel, where you can also schedule automatic scans.

Pros

The software can repair errors in the Windows Registry and it lets you target single or multiple items. It comes with a cleanup and a defragmenter utility for your hard drive as well. Furthermore, you can use Registry Defender to manage your startup programs.

Cons

The trial version allows you to use only the registry cleaner, with some restrictions. If you perform routine maintenance tasks, with Registry Defender, you will be able to keep your computer in good working condition for a longer period of time and avoid system crashes.
